6、d adapt to expectations.Professional service firms are coming face to face with change on every level.Clients want and expect more,and increasingly technology can provide the holy grail of solutions.Between 2nd March and 8th March,Employment Hero collected 313 survey responses from accountants,leade
7、rs,payroll professionals and bookkeepers working for accountancy,consultancy,bookkeeping,payroll bureau and financial businesses in the United Kingdom about their payroll services,and attitudes towards technology.Our key findings show that future-focused processes will help build the successful prac

12、ge?What are clients needs and expectations,and are they evolving?How do firms plan on enhancing their service offering?Our research confirms that Covid-19 accelerated digital transformation across accounting firms,forcing practices to eliminate outdated processes,and elevate their use of technology
13、in the workplace.In addition to this,our research found that a majority of professional service firms have experienced an increase in client expectations.With the uncertain economic environment on every business leaders mind,its no surprise that the greatest expectation from respondents stated was a
14、n increased expectation for advisory support to respond to economic hardship.With this in mind,its expected that well see a continued shift of the role of an accountant,leader,bookkeeper or payroll professional to a more strategic business advisor,with firms having to adopt a consulting perspective
15、to keep up.These sentiments are felt widely across the industry.In this report,we look at the data first-hand to find out how much current events are shaping the industry,as well as insights on how professional service firms can adapt their services to meet the changing demands of their clients,for

18、ving and increasing prices,leading to challenges for small and medium-sized businesses.In the wake of these challenges,clients have been relying on their accountants,bookkeepers and payroll professionals to provide advice,support,and discounted services to help them cope.This has resulted in a shift
19、 in client demands and expectations,with many businesses looking for more than just basic services.This has created an opportunity for professional service firms to offer a more comprehensive and personalised service to help small and medium-sized businesses navigate these uncertain times.Our resear
20、ch revealed that 81%of respondents agreed that clients expectations have changed in different ways over the past year.While 20%of respondents indicated that clients have cancelled or cut services,many also find that clients now expect increased advisory expertise particularly to respond to economic
21、hardship(28%).Clients also expect faster response times across multiple channels(26%),and increased business advisory support to future-proof their business(25%).Interestingly,a quarter of our respondents are finding that clients require more support and advice on technology.One fifth indicated that

53、e water:26%reported they have offered payroll services in the past,but subsequently withdrew the service.And some are curious,with 18%reporting they havent looked into payroll in the past but will in the future.Investing time in becoming an advocate for cloud payroll solutions is key to changing the

71、 an average of 24,979,169,while for non payroll providers the annual revenue is an average of 19,673,773.This means that Payroll providers on average earn 27%more(or 5,305,396)per year than non payroll providers.Payroll providers typically earn more revenue as it allows them to offer clients a wider
72、 range of services and value-added features.By providing end-to-end payroll management,including everything from data entry and calculations to tax compliance and benefits administration,payroll providers can offer more comprehensive solutions that better meet the needs of businesses.Despite negativ
