2、work environment.Customer needs were suddenly altered in unanticipated ways,and while hiring shrank across some industries,it was modified and even grew in others.If the COVID-19 pandemic has taught us anything,its that technology and automation are indeed our future.Many businesses dipping their to
3、es in the pool of digital transformation were forced to dive straight into the deep end.All this change was not without some quick learning and still quicker action by everyone to reshape the way business gets done.Within our own organization,we were able to run more than 39 million searches almost
4、exclusively leveraging automation in 2020helping businesses continue hiring in the face of courthouse closures and shelter-in-place orders.As an industry innovator,First Advantage processes millions of background screens each year.In 2020 alone,we completed more than 75 million searches on 18 millio
5、n individuals on behalf of our global customers.But the story doesnt end there.For the past three years,weve taken aggregate data and cross-referenced it against our annual customer survey responses to deliver the industry insights that our customers have come to expect to help measure their busines

10、l screenings for all Enterprise Advantage clients increased by 19%in 2020.Driven by continued adoption of candidate-focused technologies such as Profile Advantage,the proportion of searches containing missing candidate information decreased by 18%in 2020.First Advantage performed more than 5.5 milli
11、on reportable criminal records monitoring searches 40 times more than in 2019.Despite enormous challenges to courthouse access due to COVID-19,First Advantage ramped up automation efforts to streamline access to courthouse documentation,resulting in a 7%increase in criminal searches completed in one
12、 day!Candidate information that could not be verified continued to trend downward,dropping by another 3%in 2020 after decreasing 13%in 2019.First Advantage clients ordered 43%more physicals in 2020 than in 2019.Overall,respondents ranked speed as the most important aspect of their background screeni
